I volunteered for the HEART animal rescue to take pictures of their dogs and cats. Typically, the better the picture and the more personality it shows, people tend to adopt the animals at a quicker rate. My goal was to help these animals find their forever homes faster through pictures. Here are some of my favorite shots from the session.
Jersey is a Chihuahua-Miniature Pinscher mix. She’s full of attitude and complete cuteness overload! I thoroughly enjoyed taking pictures of her adorable little face. 🙂
I was fortunate to snap a few pictures of the animals at the Oleson Park Zoo in Fort Dodge.
My boyfriend and his son talked me into going camping for the first time at a state park. I’m the type that’s normally like, “Outside… ew!” But I was a good sport and didn’t complain once! 😀 Even though they convinced me to go on an 8 mile hike through the woods… Which began with an unfortunate hike through mud. My shoes got covered in mud, then they got soaked walking through a creek to get the mud off, and finished it off with me nearly falling down a steep hill. Although, my favorite part was sharing our food with the wild raccoons. They liked us since we left food out for them willingly. Their favorite food was the corn tortilla chips! Overall it wasn’t outstanding but it wasn’t horrible. I’d be willing to do it again… just not anytime soon. 😉
